The Timmins Police Service arrested a Kirkland Lake man stemming from an incident where the suspect was found to be in breach of a set of strict court imposed conditions listed in a release order on Saturday Dec. 5.

The Timmins Police Service responded to a call for service where a man had sustained injuries in an altercation that took place at a Commercial Avenue residence earlier that day. The man was located by the Timmins Police Service at the Timmins and District Hospital.

Upon being interviewed, the man provided a false name to the police. His genuine name was determined through investigation and it was determined that the man was bound by house arrest conditions imposed upon him by the provincial court. The Timmins Police Service has determined that his attendance at the Commercial Street address earlier that day was in breach of the court imposed conditions regarding his house arrest provisions.

As a result, Jacob Bruckner, 22, of Kirkland Lake was taken into police custody and is charged with: - fail to comply with undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada - fail to comply with probation order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada - identity fraud contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the criminal charges laid against him.
