(KIRKLAND LAKE, ON) - On November 08, 2021, members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an assault that occurred on McChesney Avenue in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation had taken place and that it escalated to an assault.
As a result, Kevin Theriault, 33 years of age, from Kirkland Lake, was arrested and charged with;
- Assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code (CC)
- Uttering Threats - Cause Death or Bodily Harm, contrary to section 264.1(1)(a) of the CC
The accused was released on a Judicial Release Order and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on November 25, 2021, in Kirkland Lake.
