Kirkland Lake break and enter suspect charged

KIRKLAND LAKE - On Nov. 3, 2021 at approximately 1:56 a.m., members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter at a commercial building on Dunfield Road in the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Police attended the scene, arrested the accused and recovered property that was stolen from the building.

As a result, Jesse Renaud, 26 years of age of Kirkland Lake, has been charged with the following:
    •    break, enter dwelling house - commit indictable offence, contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code (CC)
    •    possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC
    •    theft under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the CC

The accused was released on a Judicial Release Order and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on Dec. 2, 2021 in Kirkland Lake.
