KAPUSKASING – On Jan. 3, 2021 members of the James Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) concluded their investigation involving an insurance fraud totaling over $ 67,000 that was initially reported on Sept. 21, 2020.
As a result of the investigation, Melanie Dubosq, 31-years-old, from Kapuskasing was arrested and charged with the following:
- Adult fraud over $5000, contrary to section 380 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC)
The accused was released by way of an Undertaking, and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Feb. 22, 2021 in Kapuskasing.
