An elderly woman is in critical condition after being hit by a taxi this morning.
The crash happened around 9:15 a.m. at the intersection of McLean Drive and Jubilee.
A taxi driver turning right off of Jubilee onto McLean hit the woman, who police say was lawfully crossing the road. The woman was significantly injured and brought by ambulance to Timmins and District Hospital. She remains in hospital in critical condition, said police.
"The Timmins Police Service is making an appeal for any witnesses who may have observed the collision or any driving behaviour leading up to the collision to please come forward and assist with the investigation," wrote police in a Facebook post.
