Early morning 'unwanted person' call leads to arrest

The Timmins Police Service arrested a local resident on the strength of an arrest warrant stemming from an “unwanted person” call for service that occurred early this morning at a Way Street address in Timmins.

A Timmins Police Service officer responded to the call for service and recognized the party involved as being a wanted person named in a valid arrest warrant.

The Timmins Police officer verified the validity of the arrest warrant and took the woman into custody.

It was further determined that the woman was bound by court imposed curfew conditions related to a sentence applied by the Provincial Court in Timmins.

As a result of this incident, Hailey Mills, 26 of Timmins, is charged with:
    •    Fail to comply with release order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The subject remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at Provincial Court in Timmins. The outcome of the bail hearing has yet to be determined.
