Fentanyl, cocaine, crack seized during Kirkland Lake drug bust

KIRKLAND LAKE - On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019, officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) North East Region Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) executed a search warrant on Kirkland Street in the Town of Kirkland Lake, Ont., as part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.

Police seized drugs suspected to be fentanyl, cocaine and crack cocaine. The estimated total street value of the seizure is $725.

As a result of the police investigation, the OPP has charged three people.

Al Pitremont, age 46, of Kirkland Lake, is charged with the following:
    •    Possession of a Schedule I Substance (three counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Phillippe Schraeder, age 39, of Kirkland Lake, is charged with the following:
    •    Possession of a Schedule I Substance (three counts), contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

Kayla Landry, age 35, of Kirkland Lake, is charged with the following:
    •    Possession of a Schedule I Substance, contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA).

All three accused were released by way of a Promise to Appear and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake, on Jan. 16, 2020.
