The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a collision that  occurred shortly before noon on Friday, December 4th at the intersection of Wilson Avenue and  Preston Avenue. 

The collision involved a pickup truck and a personal mobility vehicle (scooter). 

The root cause of the collision has been determined through investigation into the incident resulting in serious injury to the 43-year-old male operator of the scooter. 

As a result of the collision and the ensuing investigation, Kalita Robichaud, 27, of Timmins, has been charged with: 

  • Careless Driving - Causing Bodily Harm contrary to section 130(3) of the Highway  Traffic Act 

The accused has been served with a Provincial Offence Act summons compelling her appearance in Provincial Court on February 18, next year, to answer to the charge laid against her.
