Disturbance call leads to drug charges for Timmins man

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with drug possession offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the evening hours of Feb. 3 at a Sterling Street address.

While attending at a disturbance at a Sterling Street apartment, the Timmins Police located a man who was the subject of the initial complaint and found him to be in breach of his Conditional Sentence Order.

The subject was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody.

Quantities of controlled substances were located and seized as evidence by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Dylan Doey, 22 of Timmins, has been charged with:
    •    two counts of possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act  

Doey remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, to answer to the charges laid against him.
