The Timmins Police Service is issuing a public advisory to all local businesses that are required to possess an operating licence managed by the Timmins Police that the deadline for any renewal is Jan. 31.

This advisory is addressed to local companies in the towing, taxi, pawn shop and salvage yard operations.Despite COVID restrictions, there will be no extension granted to these companies.

Operators of any such companies are legally required to attend the Timmins Police station at 185 Spruce St. S. to complete the licence renewal process in person.

Failure to renew any licence will require that the operator begin the licencing process anew and at an increased cost in order to continue to operate their respective enterprises.

The Timmins Police undertake the management of such licencing processes very seriously.

The staff at the reception area are eager to render assistance with this legal process to ensure that all such operations are properly licenced and in full compliance with all pertinent municipal by-laws and policies.

As stated, the deadline for compliance is Monday, Jan. 31.
