KIRKLAND LAKE - On April 24, 2021, frontline members from the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a theft from a business located on Summerhayes Avenue in the Town of Kirkland Lake.
As a result of the investigation, Dayna Thivierge, 27 years of age of Kirkland Lake, has been charged with the following:
• Theft under $5,000, contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code (CC), and
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, contrary to section 354(1)(a) of the CC.
The accused was released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice on May 27, 2021 in Kirkland Lake.
