Annual police auction coming up

Bikes, tools and jewelry recovered by cops will be on the auction block

The annual Police Auction is being held this month.

Saturday, Aug. 15 a collection of bikes, tools and jewelry recovered by the Timmins Police Service will be up for auction. 

According to police, "all investigative efforts to locate the rightful owners have been exhausted." The money raised goes towards the department's operational budget.

The auction is at the police station, 185 Spruce St. S. The viewing is at 8 a.m. and the auction starts at 8:30 a.m.

"With the challenges and personal restriction imposed by the public health protocols regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Timmins Police Service will be hosting this event in such a way so that all applicable public health concerns are addressed," reads the news release.

All items are subject to HST and sold as is.
