The accused in a Timmins assault investigation allegedly threw an item at a store clerk before fleeing the story.
The incident happened the afternoon of Friday (Jan. 26) at an Algonquin Boulevard retail store, said Timmins Police.
Police said a verbal dispute between an "unwelcome patron" and a store clerk escalated. The suspect threw an item at the clerk, hitting her as he left the store.
The suspect was arrested by police later that day.
A 45-year-old man from Timmins is charged with assault with a weapon and four counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
The accused was released from police custody at a bail hearing and is slated to appear in court on Feb. 8.
