34-year-old charged after drugs seized during arrest

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local man with drug possession offences stemming from an incident that occurred during the morning hours of March 2 at a Knox Avenue retail address.

While attending a call for service regarding a suspicious person, the responding Timmins Police officer located the subject of the complaint.

It was determined that the man was the subject of a valid arrest warrant held by the Timmins Police Service. The subject was subsequently arrested and taken into police custody.

Quantities of controlled substances were located on the suspect’s person and seized as evidence by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result of the incident, Clayton Wynne, 34 of Timmins, has been charged with:
    •    two counts of possession of a controlled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act

Wynne remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for today at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins, to answer to the charges laid against him.
