May 26, 1940 - November 30, 2021

Surrounded by his loving family, Gerry passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake at the age of 81.

He was deeply loved and will be missed by his sisters Simone Bigras and Sara Jodouin as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and the Carre family. Predeceased by his parents Isidore and Adelina Jodouin and siblings Louis, Lucien, Emerie, Lucienne, Corrine and Laurette.

“Uncle Gerry”, as he was affectionately known to the town people, was a gentle, quiet man who always had a big smile. He lived a simple life and was happiest playing cards with family and friends, riding his scooter with his dog Sandy and watching T.V. We will forever miss our visits and chit chats with our beloved uncle, friend and neighbour.

The family wishes to thank Uncle Gerry’s neighbour Louie Berube for his kindness and generosity, especially all the delicious hot meals he provided our uncle. They also want to thank Denise Carre for her nightly heartfelt calls making sure Uncle Gerry was alright. Deepest appreciation to Dr. Roger Larochelle for the care and compassion shown to our uncle throughout the years as well as the doctors and staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Elliot Lake.

A celebration of Gerry’s life will be held in the spring of 2022 with burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Spanish.
