The family announces with great sadness his passing at the Golden Manor on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of Therese Gravelle (nee Depatie). Cherished father of Jacqueline predeceased (Tom), Rachelle (Denis), Richard (Diane), Suzanne (Gord), Ronald, Michelle (Marc), Raymond, Jeannine, and Robert (Lise). Dear grandfather of Jessica, Robert, Richie, Rodney, Chantal, Nathalie, Joey, Jamie, Meghan, Ronald, Scott, Jason, Sheri, Devin, Marc Jr., Stefanie, Katelynn, Ashley, Amanda, Kyla and Riley. Proud great-grandfather of Koalson, Jax, Tamara, Tanika, Reanna, Paige, Claire, Chardonnay, Charlie, Jonathan, Destany, Jeremy, Hailey, Chase, Leila, Sofie, Emerson, Stella, Hendrick. Emma, Elizabeth and Katherine. Dad had a special relationship with all his nieces and nephews who cherished their time with him. He is predeceased by his grandchildren Laurie and Rhyan and all his siblings.
Our father was a family man. His bride was the love of his life, they had 69 years of marriage and they remained all adoring of each other even in his last days. Our father loved his children and he and our mother dedicated their lives to us. His discipline and loyalty provided the understanding to his children that they were equally loved. He took care of his mother for many years and was very generous toward his siblings with his time.
He worked the railways and retired after 39 years of service with CNR. Our father enjoyed many years spending time with his brothers' in-law at camp and going out for a little fishing. His favorite pastime was spent in the bush cutting firewood or operating his tractor.

Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held from the Paroisse Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire in Gogama, Ontario on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 11 am. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Cremation and Reception Centre, 150 Balsam St. S., Timmins.
