Frapporti photo.jpg EDITED

It is with broken hearts and shattered hope we mourn the passing of our beloved Daughter, Rickie Jodi Frapporti. After a long but courageous battle with addiction. Her family is deeply saddened to say goodbye but at the same time are finding comfort in knowing her struggle for sobriety has ended and she is at peace. She is survived by her mother," Mama Bear”, Toni Scobie, Papa Bear, Larry Turco. Sister, Liza Scobie. Her cherished nieces, Gina Scobie (Christian), Jodi Scobie (Whit) and her nephew, Larry Roach Scobie. One great nephew, Theodore. Jodi grew up a high-spirited child with a true love for her family. Jodi and Mama Bear talked many times that one day she may have to write this obituary and she stressed firmly her desire for honesty. In fact, the following words were written by her.

“I grew up surrounded by unconditional love. We were poor but very rich. Some of my fondest memories include the road trips in a car with no radio and the three of us singing. Then we got that boom box and Mom you would stop the car and the three of us would bust a move in the middle of nowhere. Water fights that would start outdoors but would make their way to the indoors, roller skating, downhill skiing, neighbourhood hide and seek, camping, dancing…too many good times to list. But then came that fork in the road. Three times I tried, and I am grateful to Oaks in Elliot Lake and Monarch House Sudbury. Mom if I go promise you won’t stop trying to help others, never change. Like you always said, as long as there is breath there is hope. I am so sorry.”

On January 25, 2022, the Angels came for our beloved Jodi. They took her back to her Father, Rick Frapporti, Her Nona and Nono, Gina and Faust Frapporti.  We extend our thanks to, EMS, Health Sciences North. Dr.Jennifer McGarry and the Lougheed Funeral Home. Shannon McCord who never gave up on me. Yvonne Attard who has travelled this road with us and was always there for Mama Bear.

“I love you a long long long time and I will see ya on the other side”
