The family announces with great sadness his passing on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Lucille (predeceased December 14, 2014). Loving father and hero to Marcel (Joelle). Proud pépère of Alexia, Zacharie, Devon and Matthew. Gilles will be missed by his sisters Laurette Côté of Ottawa, Denise Major of Délégué, QC, Therese Lacroix ( Gordon) of Nepean, Marcelle Mousseau (Clark) of Ottawa, brother Maurice of Golden BC and brother in law Florent Boucher of Stittsville. Predeceased by brothers Gerald (Doune), Remi, Emile, Yves, Robert, Michel and sisters Cecile Larche and Gisele Boucher. The former Ironworker and lumberjack’s happy places were working with his son in Oakville riding the lawnmower, spending time with his grandchildren, treating his family or simply having his daily coffee with Marcel talking about old times or analyzing his Montreal Canadians. A kind soul, he leaves us with an incredible void but more importantly, all the special memories. See you on the Ironjack pops.
