A home care recruitment and information event is being held next week in Timmins.
The session is Tuesday, March 27 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Senator Hotel, 14 Mountjoy St. S. and will feature CarePartners, Bayshore and the Canadian Red Cross.
The event is part of the North East Local Health Integration Network’s (NE LHIN) effort to increase its home and community care workforce. It is also a way for people in the community to learn more about the services available.
For people bringing a job application, there will be on-the-spot interviews and an opportunity to receive feedback on their resumes.
The LHIN recommends high school and post-secondary students interested in home support career should attend, as well as nurses, nursing students, personal support workers and disability support workers.
