With the province-wide stay-at-home order now in effect, the City of Timmins would like to remind residents that holding or attending a yard sale is not permitted under provincial guidelines.

Residents are currently asked to stay at home and only go out for necessities such as grocery and pharmacy items and health care services.

“We are anticipating that yard sales will be allowed once the stay-at-home order has been removed,” says City Clerk Steph Palmateer. “Safety measures such as mandatory masks and social distancing will have to be maintained.”

The City of Timmins is committed to protecting public safety through our Enforcement Services Department. Our Municipal By-law Enforcement Officers will be monitoring reports of yard sale activity as we continue to navigate Ontario’s stay-at-home order.
