July was a good month for Connie Croisier.

The South Porcupine woman, who moved here from Kirkland Lake about 1.5 years ago, won $257,618 in the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation's July 50/50.

"She had noticed the ads we run about our lottery and thought it was a great cause so she would give it a try. Her monthly purchase paid off big when she hit the jackpot," reads the announcement.

"When we called her and told her the news, she was shaking, she couldn’t believe it. She had just told her mom the other day that, 'July was our month!'"

She plans to share her windfall with her mom and aunt.

Tickets for the August draw are on sale now. They are only available online here.

The hospital's proceeds from this month's draw are for laboratory equipment.
