Woman Facing Weapon Charge

The Timmins Police Service has arrested and charged a local woman in response to a disturbance incident on August 28, 2013. In the early hours of the night, officers responded to a complaint of two people involved in a heated argument in their residence. Once on scene, officers determined that a victim had been cut with a knife. The victim suffered lacerations to their neck and hand area. Medical treatment was not required. As a result of the investigation, 31 year-old Theresa Wesley of Timmins was arrested and charged with Assault with a Weapon. The accused was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins at 9:30AM on August 28, 2013.
