A water main break means there are some traffic disruptions in Timmins today.
The intersection of Eighth Avenue and Cedar Street north is blocked due to a break.
To allow for repairs, Eighth Avenue is closed from Pine Street North to Balsam Street North, Cedar is closed from Seventh Avenue to Ninth.
According to the City of Timmins, work is expected to be done by midnight.
“Some residents in the area may experience a loss in water pressure and/or coloured water as the repair is being done. The City of Timmins apologizes for the inconvenience and will be looking to correct the problem as soon as possible,” reads the notice on the city’s website.
