People are being asked not to visit the Golden Manor unless it’s necessary.

A notice posted to the City of Timmins website today says the manor is “in an outbreak situation with a number of residents experiencing respiratory symptoms.”

The restrictions also mean that children should not be brought to the facility right now.

For those who do visit, they are asked to read and follow the posted instructions at the front doors.

“We want to reassure families that if your loved one becomes ill, you will be contacted by the Golden Manor staff,” reads the notice. “If you want to know how your loved one is doing, please do not hesitate to call the unit on which they reside and the staff will provide you with updates.”
