Vehicle observed driving erratically, impaired charge laid

On Nov. 12, 2017, at approximately 1:30 a.m., officers from the Kapuskasing Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle operator driving erratically on Riverside Drive in the Town of Kapuskasing.

Police conducted a traffic stop and determined that the male driver had consumed alcohol.

Earl Grant, 58 years of age, from Windsor, Ontario was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood contrary to section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada (CC).

The accused was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kapuskasing on Dec.18, 2017 to answer to the charge.
