Update - Police Make another Arrest in Relation to Second Degree Murder of Myles Shaganash

The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made another arrest in connection with the death of 23 year old Myles SHAGANASH of Constance Lake First Nation.

The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service (NAPS) and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made another arrest in connection with the death of 23 year old Myles SHAGANASH of Constance Lake First Nation.

The ongoing police investigation initiated on June 15, 2013, has resulted in a second arrest of a Constance Lake First Nation man. Officers from NAPS and OPP James Bay Detachments Crime Unit have charged 29 year old Justin SUTHERLAND with Assault causing bodily harm, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is in police custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane, Ontario, on Friday, September 6, 2013.

The investigation is continuing under the direction of Acting Detective Inspector Rob Hagerman of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), with the assistance of NAPS and OPP James Bay Detachments Crime Unit.
