Two new COVID-19 cases and an outbreak at a homeless shelter are being reported in Timmins tonight.

The outbreak is at Living Space. Provincial guidelines require an outbreak to be declared if one staff or patron is a confirmed case, according to the health unit. The announcement does not indicate if it is staff or a user of the facility.

The two new cases are in Timmins. The exposure of one case is under investigation and one is related to the outbreak. All of the people are in self-isolation.

"The health unit is working with Living Space to identify close contacts and is asking community partners to share this information with their clients as appropriate. The PHU is also arranging COVID-19 testing at Living Space. More details will be shared as they become available," reads the news release.
