TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE

A Timmins Police Service officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Algonquin Boulevard and Mount-joy Street in Timmins which took place during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 26.
A 78-year-old male person from Timmins was driving a 2011 Dodge pickup truck when he struck the Timmins Police Cruiser at the intersection. Neither driver sustained injury in the collision. Damage to the pickup truck was extensive as it was required to be towed from the scene.
An estimate as to the damage to the Timmins Police Service cruiser has yet to be completed. The matter remains under investigation with the Timmins Police Service.
