Hollinger Park will get a little more festive this weekend.
The Timmins Community Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony is taking place Saturday, Nov. 20 at 6 p.m.
Along with the lighting of the 40-foot spruce tree featuring over 4,000 lights, there will be a performance by the Timmins Symphony Choir and free hot chocolate courtesy of the McIntyre Coffee Shop.
Non-perishable food items are also being collected for the food banks in Timmins and South Porcupine.
The event is hosted by the City of Timmins, Tourism Timmins, Timmins Community Park Association and the McIntyre Coffee Shop.
