Timmins' ski hill is in the finals of a competition to win $100,000.

Mount Jamieson Resort is in the last stage of the Mackenzie Top Peak competition. The winner of the $100,000 top prize will be announced on Saturday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m. on CBC.

The non-profit organization rallied community support to stay in the competition so far. Canada-wide voting put them among the top, but now the decision lies in the hands of the judges.

For Mount Jamieson, the money would mean fast-tracking the development of its downhill mountain bike project, said resort CEO Eric Philipow in an interview earlier this month.
