Timmins singer's Christmas album being released this month

You can already listen to its first single

Céleste Lévis says she has always dreamed of writing a Christmas album.

Lévis’ fourth album, Noël Tout Autour (Christmas All Around), will be released Nov. 27.

The new album is bilingual with eight original tracks and two cover songs, O Holy Night and The Christmas Song.

“Some are more love songs, some are about believing in yourself but it all turns around Christmas,” Lévis said. "The weirdest part was the fact that it was all done while we were in quarantine. Trying to write songs about hope and being happy and these things about Christmas while we were going through something serious.”

Last week, she released the album's first single — Noël, toi et moi. Levis co-wrote the song with her fiancé Marc-Antoine Joly.

“(Joly) is also the producer and the musician, did absolutely everything for the album,” Levis said. “We worked hard on it together and it was really special. It is a love song between two people, so it represents us.”

Working on the album amid the pandemic was a “relief” as the couple was trying to change their mindset and put themselves in a “happier place,” Lévis said.

“While I was writing new songs, I was able to look back at different memories and the good times I spent with my family at Christmas and it just made me feel closer to them, so that was really special," she said.

Lévis said she can’t wait to see how people will react to the album and hopes the public will listen and accept her new original songs as well as the covers.

“I finally got the time to do (the album), which is a gift,” she said.

Lévis’ new Christmas merchandise and physical album will be available for order on www.celestelevis.com.
