Timmins Police and Partners Congratulate " Helmets On " Campaign Winners

This summer the Timmins Police Service, in conjunction with various community partners, promoted the 2013 “Helmet’s On” Campaign.

This summer the Timmins Police Service, in conjunction with various community partners, promoted the 2013 “Helmet’s On” Campaign. The campaign has now concluded and we are proud to announce our 6 winners:

Nathan Kring, Emma Bailey and Riley Gagnon each receive a brand new bicycle and helmet;

Kassandre Kelly, Tylor Fantana and Barb Akulick each receive gift certificates.

Officers with the Timmins Police Service were on patrol looking for the youth of our city who were both in compliance and also non-compliance with the bicycle helmet laws. The youth that were abiding by the law were given ballots to win prizes.

Police were also looking for adults that were setting a good example for our youth by wearing their helmets. Over 150 ballots were given out this year!

This initiative would not be possible without partnerships with the The Porcupine Health Unit, Seizure & Brain Injury Centre, Northern Sports, Neo Laser Tag, Cedar Meadows, Tim Hortons and the City of Timmins.
