Timmins man charged in break and enter investigation

The Timmins Police Service has charged a local person stemming from a report received from a property owner of a break and enter which led to an arrest.

Responding Timmins Police Service officers located the suspect as the man was in the midst of fleeing from a north end residence.

Upon arrest, the man was found to be in possession of household goods allegedly taken from the residence.

As a result of this incident, Patrick Martin, 36, of Timmins, has been charged with:

  • Break and enter contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Theft under $5,000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Possession of property obtained by crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Fail to comply with undertaking contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer to the charges laid against him.
