Timmins hosts OFSSAA Senior Boys Basketball Championships

Timmins High and Vocational School hosting the 2016 Boys Double AA Basketball Championships

Timmins High and Vocational School will host the 2016 Boys Double AA Basketball Championships beginning today.

The host Timmins High & Vocational School Sr. Blues won the NEOAA 'AA' Senior Boys Basketball Championship in February when they defeated Timiskaming District Secondary School Sr. Saints.

The Saints will join the Blues at the Double AA Championships along with 16 other teams from across Ontario.

The THVS Blues are seed 10th in the tournament, while the Saints are the 18th seed.

The seeds are:

1.        Ottawa Ashbury College

2.         Guelph Bishop Macdonell Catholic High School

3.         Toronto Crescent School

4.         London John Paul II Catholic Secondary School

5.         Niagara Falls St. Paul Catholic H.S.

6.         Toronto Emery C.I.

7.         Windsor Kennedy Collegiate

8.          Burlington Assumption

9.         Markham Father McGivney Academy

10.      Timmins High and Vocational School

11.       Sudbury LaSalle S.S.

12.       Kingston Frontenac Secondary School

13.       St. Catharines Eden High School

14.       Kingston KCVI

15.       Oakville St. Ignatius

16.       Belleville Quinte S.S.

17.      Midland St. Theresa High School

18.     Temiskaming Shores Timiskaming D.S.S.

Games will be played at Timmins High and Vocational School, O’Gorman High School and Theriault.
