NEWS RELEASE
DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD ONTARIO NORTH EAST
*************************
The students and staff of Timmins High and Vocational School will be doing their part to help the less fortunate in our community.

After enjoying a pancake breakfast cooked and served by their teachers, students will board buses and go door-to-door in Timmins (the North end, Melrose and Mountjoy), collecting non-perishable food items for the Timmins Food Bank and First Baptist Church Food Bank.

It all happens on Thursday, March 29, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

When the students return to the school, they will be served a free lunch, and will receive two community service hours for their efforts. It’s a great opportunity for the students to participate in a very worthy cause that benefits our neighbours!

Residents are strongly encouraged to leave non-perishable food items outside their door if they are not going to be at home. Alternatively, residents can bring food directly to Timmins High.
