Timmins gets set to "Rock by the River", July 22-23

Headlining the event are Monster Truck, Pop Evil and Glorious Sons

The late afternoon thunderstorm is over, the skies have cleared and Timmins is set to rock on river this weekend with two days of solid rock featuring dozens of performers on two stages in Timmins' Participark right by the Mattagami River.

Headlining the event are Monster Truck, Pop Evil and Glorious Sons all playing on the main stage over the weekend.

Also appearing on the main stage will be are the Poor Young Things, the Standstills, the Smashing Satellites and All the Wasted Years, the winner of the last falls battle of the bands concert.

Local bands are well represented with a list that consists of the following performers.

On Friday night: Paul Sebali, Lee Hannigan, Kyle Coté and DT/TK

On Saturday night: Jamie Gia, Rico, Dalton District and Shaun Melanson

Appearing on both nights will be internationally renowned flame eater Damien Flame to fire up the occasion.
