Timmins gets Urban-ized (7 photos)

Aussie country superstar closes out Stars and Thunder

Eight days of musical acts at Hollinger Park came to a thrilling close on Saturday night, as country music superstar Keith Urban took the stage at Stars and Thunder.

Some fans in attendance literally never left the park after Friday's shows, and lined up in the queue line and camped out overnight for a chance to get as close to the stage as possible for Urban's performance.

Urban was very interactive with his audience. He brought a local woman on stage who had been one of those who went without proper sleep, and she was described by her son as "the biggest Keith Urban fan in the world."

Urban also took a lengthy stroll through the audience, albeit surrounded by many security personnel, and played a part of a song in the general admission area, a long way from the stage, to show his appreciation.

He sang a duet with burgeoning Canadian country star Meghan Patrick, who played a full set earlier in the day.

He later dedicated a tender love ballad to his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, who wasn't in Timmins as many had speculated online.

After the concert, Urban posted a short video on his social media platforms saying he had "a lot of fun" in Timmins.
