Rick Lemieux, Timmins Comedy Festival organizer says that he is happy to see the city and beyond want to take part in the genesis of what will be become an annual event. " We have sold tickets to people from all over the North wanting to come to Timmins to see the shows. People are buying tickets for multiple nights and in some cases, booking rooms to make weekend of this. "

Sherry Farrell of  The Book Bin was amazed at the response the 3 day comedy festival received. " Literally from morning to closing, we have been taking calls and selling tickets. Timmins loves comedy!" " People are even buying these tickets for Christmas gifts." says Farrell.

"The Book Bin has supported Rick Lemieux for many years with his fund raisers. It's a great opportunity to get potential new customers in the store and support great causes. This is a win / win for both." says Mike Young, Manager of The Book Bin.
