Mountjoy River Bridge on Papakomeka Road (south of Pine Street) will be closed at the 11 km marker for routine maintenance starting Sept. 23.

The closure will last one day and the bridge will not be passable during that time. Construction signs will be posted.

If you choose to travel other roads in the area to avoid construction, please use caution because there are active forest operations in the area and you may encounter haul trucks.

The alternate routes are: coming from Timmins take Dalton Road to Price Main Road which is west of Papakomeka Road or if someone is coming from South Porcupine, you can take Langmuir Road to Stringers Road / Forks River Road to Matachewan Road.

For more information, contact Derek Farrer at the Timmins District Office of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, at 705-235-1353.
