Three Timmins residents facing charges following drug seizure

Three Timmins residents are now facing numerous charges following an investigation by the Timmins Police Service’s Drug Enforcement Unit. On Nov. 9, 2017, as a result of the investigation, police executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins.

During the search, police located a number of illegal substances including 16 grams of cocaine, 22 grams of heroin, 169 methamphetamine tablets, 107 oxycodone tablets, and 8 morphine tablets. Police also seized approximately $1430 in Canadian currency as well as a firearm. The estimated street value of the items seized is approximately $22,000.

As a result of the seizure, Wendy Rothwell, 45, of Timmins, Christopher Kileen, 37, of Timmins, and Anthony Bonnevie, 44, of Timmins all face charges of:

  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking x5
  • Unauthorized possession of a restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Careless storage of a firearm
  • Careless storage of ammunition
  • Possession of a loaded, prohibited or restricted firearm

Kileen faces further charges of:

  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order
  • Fail to comply with recognizance

Bonnevie faces further charges of:

  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
  • Possession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order x 4

Wendy Rothwell was released on a recognizance of bail with a future court date of Nov. 28, 2017. Christopher Killeen and Anthony Bonnevie were held in custody pending a video remand appearance on Nov. 17, 2017.
