Three suspects sought in Kirkland Lake jewellery theft

KIRKLAND LAKE - Members of the Kirkland Lake Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a theft which occurred on March 14, 2018 at approximately 10:30 a.m. at the Jewel Box, located on Government Road West in the Town Kirkland Lake, Ont.

One male and two females entered the jewellery store and requested assistance from the store clerk. All of them spoke broken English and alleged they were from Turkey. They looked at various merchandise and put aside several rings and necklaces they wanted to buy. The three parties claimed they were looking for jewellery as gifts.

After the three parties left without buying anything, the clerk noticed gold rings and necklaces missing. The three individuals then left the store in an unknown direction of travel.
