Three new COVID cases in Timmins and area

Three new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the Porcupine Health Unit region. 

Two of the people are in Timmins and one is in the area of Hearst, Hornepayne.

One of the Timmins cases is the contact of a case and the exposure of the other one is under investigation. The exposure of the Hearst, Hornepayne case is also under investigation. All of the people are in self-isolation, according to the health unit.

To date, there have been 415 confirmed cases of the virus in the region. Of those, 345 are recovered and 25 people have died. There are 45 known active cases.

There are COVID-19 assessment centres in Timmins, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, Kapuskasing, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and Hornepayne.
