Three Timmins men are now facing charges following a break and enter and theft from a local business.
Sometime between March 2 and March 3, 2016, a break and enter occurred at On-Site Welding Shop.
Once inside the building, the individuals involved obtained keys to the company van, and the van was taken along with equipment and tools.
The estimated value of the items taken is over $100,000.
On March 3, police received a report from snowmobilers after they noticed suspicious activity in a remote area. The Ontario Provincial Police assisted by locating and arresting the individuals in question.
The individuals were then transported to the Timmins Police Service, who continued their investigation.
As a result of the investigation, Steven Weaver, 43, of Timmins faces charges of break and enter a place and commit indictable offence, and possession of property obtained by crime.
Norman Gamache, 52, of Timmins faces charges of break, enter a place and commit indictable offence, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Alain Gamache, 33, of Timmins faces a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
Although a quantity of the equipment taken has been recovered, there are still some items remaining outstanding.
Anyone with any information about this break and enter and subsequent theft, or having knowledge of the whereabouts of the outstanding items is asked to contact the Timmins Police Service at 705-264-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 705-268-8477.
This incident and subsequent arrest of the individuals responsible indicates the importance of residents reporting any suspicious activity they may see.
