Snowmobile collision north of Cochrane results in injuries

COCHRANE - On Mar. 10, 2018 at approximately 3:33 p.m. members of the James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a snowmobile collision on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) Trail 103, north of Cochrane, Ontario.

Shortly after 3 p.m., a snowmobile drove off the trail and entered a ravine.

The driver, Dale Brubacher, 53 years old, of North Perth, Ontario sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.

Remember that snowmobiling anywhere requires that you are attentive at all times. Look ahead and continuously scan when you are driving.

If you see wildlife, slow down and pass carefully. If you're venturing out in unfamiliar territory, slow down and keep a safe distance from other riders in front of you.
