This week marks the start and end of Timmins Snowmobile Week which runs from March 6 to 13, 2016.
Various events are planned including a flag rising at City Hall, Rock and Ride at the McIntyre Arena, and the Eclipse Financial Snow cross Pro Challenge Finals.
This event is being held by the Canadian Snow Cross Racing Association (CSRA), Rockstar Energy National Snowcross Racing and Timmins own, Eclipse Financial.
This weekend’s races will be the CSRA Round #5 of the Rockstar Energy National Snowcross Racing circuit.
The Eclipse Financial Snowcross Pro Challenge being held at the Spruce Street South Snow Dump.
The challenge will run Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13 at the snow dump.
The challenge will begin at 9am although racers will be practicing at 8:30 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
Corey Watkinson, Iain Hayden and Dave Joanis will be three of the professional riders at the event; all expected to be racing in the Pro Men’s Class races.
