The snow depth across the area continues to be below normal.

In the spring, the Mattagami Region Conservation Authority does watershed updates to take a look at the conditions across its area. Today (March 20), the second report for this year was released.

The authority reports that the snow depth and water content are generally below normal for the Upper Mattagami Watershed, though one site's water content is slightly above average.

"Inflows across the Upper Mattagami River watershed are relatively stable at this time and slightly above normal. Winter drawdown of Mesomikenda is complete while Mattagami and Peterlong is underway," reads the update.
