  • Little Abitibi - Kesagami Lake
  • Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls

 

Significant snowfall expected Friday night into Saturday.

Hazards: Snow, at times heavy. Total snowfall amounts of 10 to 20 cm. Locally higher amounts are also possible.
Risk of a brief period of freezing rain.
Reduced visibility due to occasional blowing snow.

When: Friday night and Saturday.

Impacts: Be prepared for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.

Discussion: A strengthening low pressure system is expected to track northeast across Lake Huron on Saturday. There remains some uncertainty in the track of this low pressure system. As a result, the snowfall amounts expected could change. Warnings may be issued as the event draws nearer.
