A sensory-friendly COVID-19 vaccination clinic is planned for Timmins.
Tuesday, July 6 there will be a special clinic at Covenant United Church, 230 8th Ave.
While the health unit says it's targeted for youth 12 years and older, adults who prefer to attend a clinic with limited distractions can also book an appointment.
The clinic includes measures such as:
- The pace will be slowed down to allow more time for individual immunizations
- The noise will be kept as low as possible
- A private immunization station will be available
"Individuals attending the clinic are encouraged to bring items that may be helpful to them which can include fidget spinners, stress balls, a tablet or phone or a weighted blanket," reads the bulletin.
