The Porcupine Health Unit (PHU), along with community partners, is hosting a local “Winter Walking Forum."
“Seniors are finding the winter months long and are always searching for different physical activity opportunities,” says April Jalbert, Public Health Nurse. “Discussing physical activities with them and providing older adults with valuable winter walking safety tips and strategies gives them the opportunity to brave the winter months and remain active.”
In association with this event, the PHU is recruiting local pole walkers to start a winter walking group in the community. Don’t miss out on a Winter Walking Forum happening in your community.
