A section of Algonquin Boulevard will be temporarily closed to traffic this weekend.

The road will be closed from Theriault Boulevard to Mattagami Boulevard South on Sunday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to the City of Timmins.

"The closure will be conducted by Hydro One for hydro pole replacement and relocation.  The sidewalk will also be closed to pedestrian traffic at this time," reads a city notice.

To avoid the area, traffic can access the Lafleur Drive bridge just north of the main bridge. Lafleur Drive can be accessed via Shirley or Norman streets for eastbound traffic and Airport Road for westbound traffic.
